This is now the highest horsepower holding single disk clutch available for the Viper. This single disk clutch will hold up to 1000ft-lbs with ease has never been fused and has superior longevity. This kit comes with the HorsepowerFreaks Pressure plate.
The material used to make this clutch is very expensive. It is also very hard to get. It has the highest heat resistance of any other clutch material made today with a coefficient of 0.7. This coefficient also doesn't change with temperature as many clutches do until after 900 degrees. It has a melting point of 1600 degrees.
The pressure plate that comes with this clutch kit has a staggering 3799 lb clamp load. Even so, the pedal effort barely increases and feels very close to stock.
Engagement is unlike most high hp holding clutches as it is very smooth but crisp. This clutch is for Vipers that drag race and have between 600 and 1100 ft-lbs.
