Thermotec Aluminized Heat Barrier Heat Shields
This flexible, high-temperature material makes it an excellent choice for any appication that requires high conductive heat. The highly-reflective matallic surface is capable of withstanding radiant temperatures of up to 2000 degrees F. The product can be installed using standard rivets with a back-up washer or with weather-strip adhesive. Clamps or straps such as Thermo-Tec's Snap Strap can be used to hold the material in place for applications around maifolds or exhaust systems.
When used as a heat shield, the barrier should be installed so fabric side faces the heat source. This allows the metallic surface to act as a barrier to prevent the penetration of liquids.
