Unorthodox Ultra L G - 6 Paddle Ceramic Solid Hub Clutch Kits
Each Unorthodox Racing clutch kit incorporates the leading edge of Unorthodox Racing clutch design. Like everything they build, an Unorthodox Racing clutch is dyno-tested to ensure that it meets every design parameter. Your Unorthodox Racing clutch will give you more clutch life and better take-up feel. It's what we've come to expect from an Unorthodox Racing clutch.
Unorthodox Racing's Ultra Series L/G flywheel and clutch kits are pre-configured and designed specifically for your vehicle. Unorthodox Racing's L/G kits include all the benefits of Unorthodox Racing's flywheels and clutches in a complete package. These kits can be configured with any of Unorthodox Racing's clutch materials. Kits are currently available for Audi/VW, Dodge Neon, Mitsubishi Eclipse NT and Subaru WRX applications.
4 or 6 Button Ceramic:
The Stage 2 units can be ordered in either a 6 button (semi-aggressive/high torque capacity) or 4 button (aggressive/max torque capacity) carrier. These unique buttons have an excellent wear rating for both the material and contact surfaces and are capable of lasting 5,000 to 25,000 miles, depending on your driving habits. Other benefits of this blend include a high holding capacity (ranging from 80% to 100% over the stock torque rating of the vehicle) and decent drive ability (especially with Unorthodox Racing's new sprung options!) on the street.
Pressure Plates:
A clutch disc is only as good as the pressure plate it is matched to. Unorthodox Racing's heavy-duty pressure plates are balanced and tested before shipping. Releases bearing contact areas on all diaphragm springs are hardened to reduce wear. Clamp load is important, but the highest clamp load is not necessarily the best solution. Extremely high clamp load plates will put an unnecessary strain on your clutch hydraulics, the thrust bearings on the crankshaft in your motor, and of course you're left foot! Unorthodox Racing's pressure plate loads have been tested and chosen carefully, taking all these factors into consideration so you will have a very reliable, long-lasting clutch assembly that will not prematurely wear other related components.
